Ambiente consumer-goods fair just took place in Germany. For the first time Cmielow Design Studio had a chance to present its newely developed collection together with the products from Cmielow and Chodziez Polish Porcelain Factories under one unified brand.
New, fresh look of the contemporary addition to what the traditional Polish porcelain manufacturers are known for, caused curiosity and a lot of interest among visitors. During the five-days fair hundreds of contractors scrolled through the booth admiring Cmielow progressive expansion. It is the result of Cmielow collaboration with Marek Cecula and his firm Modus Design who were invited to lead the new branch Cmielow Design Studio where the experimantal developments of contemporary tableware is taking place. During only two months interaction Cmielow Design Studio had updated long forgotten set Atelier from Chodziez collection adding new modern forms with simple, yet visually strong decoration that allows playful combinations. In addition Cmielow Design Studio had shown innovative designs of table top giftware focusing on possibilities of the traditional manufacturing methods which, through new developments, could be brought to the surface.
This first presentation is only a sneak peak to what Cmielow Design Studio is working on. The far reaching plans of the company growth include not only designing new collections, but experimenting with cutting edge technologies, setting up educational programs for international students and collaborating with designers worldwide through Residency program. Cmielow Design Studio is definitely a unique addition the Cmielow and Chodziez Polish Porcelain Factories with a big chance for serious changes for the united company that is now the biggest manufacturer of tabletop porcelain in Europe.
